Visitors and plans

 On Saturday we invited a number of people to discuss future plans for the site. We were delighted to welcome the local MP Rachel Gilmour and Jan Ross, someone who has done so much for Dulverton, along with her husband Keith. 

We talked about our plans to open a proper George Williams exhibition in the town, working with the YMCA, and to establish a library which honours both his heritage of Christian conscience and action but also that of many other people associated with the chapel. Dulverton has many visitors and we have many stories to tell.

Rachel has subsequently posted on social media: "On Saturday, I visited Dulverton Congregational Church to meet a lovely group of constituents working to set up a library and museum celebrating the life of George Williams, a farmer's son from Dulverton who went on to found the YMCA. 🌍
